Welcome to Winter video classes
A video archive available season by season.
Winter – the Water Element.– In the Chinese 5 element system, Winter is associated with the Water element, the most Yin time of the year, quieter, more passive. Nature turns inwards, animals hibernate or rest. The organ pair for Winter are the kidneys and bladder – associated with the water element. Winter yoga will be slower, with emphasis on coming inwards.
Watch the ‘Welcome to Winter ‘ video first for a more in depth explanation.
Each season has a menu of seasonal yoga practices. It’s mainly Yang yoga, but there is usually 1 Yin class, possibly a Yoga Nidra. Class durations vary between 30 and 90 minutes. There are also some shorter Qigong classes.
